Brace yourself: a veteran Chargers anchor says goodbye to the NFL. Bradley Bozeman, who started 16 games at center for Los Angeles this past season, has announced his retirement after eight professional seasons.
The 31-year-old shared the news on Instagram on Monday, describing this as the start of a new chapter. In a carousel of photos from his career, he reflected on what football has given him—lessons, lifelong friendships, and memories his family will treasure forever—and expressed gratitude for everything he poured into the sport.
Bozeman extended heartfelt thanks to his teammates, coaches, and fans, and then shifted the focus to his loved ones. He praised his incredible family—especially his wife, who stood by him from the beginning—and his three children, Brody, Bailey, and Boone, noting that their sacrifices made the journey worthwhile.
He also offered a candid line about the nature of professional sports: no career, no matter how storied, lasts forever, and every role eventually changes hands. Still, he remained thankful for the opportunity to take part in the ride and looked forward to the next phase—returning to life on the farm.
Academically, Bozeman, an Alabama alum, began his NFL journey with the Baltimore Ravens after they drafted him in the sixth round in 2018. He spent four seasons with Baltimore, starting 49 games, before moving on to the Carolina Panthers for 2022–2023, where he played in 34 games. He joined the Chargers in 2024 as a free agent. Over his final two seasons in Los Angeles, he stepped in as center for 33 total games.
This retirement marks the end of a steady, dependable career at the heart of multiple offensive lines and teams, with a final chapter written in Chargers’ blue and gold.
